Remembering James “Denny” Moore — Class of 1984

James “Denny” Moore, Class of 1984, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2026. Denny was another Raider who left this world far too young. He leaves behind a lasting legacy and many wonderful memories for those who knew and loved him.

Throughout his life, Denny was fortunate to build close friendships and meaningful bonds with his football coaches and Dr. Halford. These relationships were a testament to the kind of person he was and the impact he had on the people around him.

Denny leaves behind his wife, Jennifer; his son, Austin; his daughter, Ansley; and his sister, Penne Moore Crews, who graduated from Redan in 1980. His family, friends, classmates, coaches, and all who had the privilege of knowing him will forever carry his memory in their hearts.

His service was held this past Saturday August 15th 2026 at Roswell Presbyterian Church. It was a beautiful and heartfelt tribute to the person Denny was and to the many lives he touched. He will be deeply missed, but never forgotten.

Rest peacefully, Denny. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew you.
