Glenn Joseph Henderson Redan Class of 1981. Glen passed away peacefully on August 13, 2026.

A proud Georgia native, Glenn grew up in Stone Mountain, where he spent his childhood and high school years as a dedicated soccer player and honor roll student. After graduating, he attended North Carolina State University and earned a Bachelor of Science in Pulp and Paper Engineering. He went on to build a successful career, spending most of his professional life with Betz Paper Chemical and Hercules. During this time, he received the esteemed Hercules Award and was granted a U.S. patent for his work.

Throughout his life, Glenn traveled extensively, visiting five of the world’s seven continents. He was an avid sports fan who loved cheering for his home-state teams. A passionate runner, he completed multiple marathons and was a proud annual participant in Atlanta’s Peachtree Road Race.

For the past twenty years, Glenn devoted himself to caring for his mother, serving as her primary caretaker. Family meant everything to him, and he found immense joy in his nieces, nephew, and great-nieces.

Glenn is survived by his mother, Linda Henderson; his sister, Karen Henderson ; his brother, Marcus Henderson (Karen N. Henderson); his nieces Lindsey, Tabitha, Mikayla, and Krisalyn; his nephew Austin; and his great-nieces Mia and Tilly.

A celebration honoring Glenn’s life will be held on Saturday August 22nd at 2:00, at Tom Wages Funeral Service Snellville. His final resting place will be at Westover Memorial in Augusta, Georgia.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.
