Fond memories of my friend Leigh starting with french classes together, trip to Paris, freshmen roommates at University of Georgia (I witnessed her first date with Vincent!)..then shared an apartment during our first careers. Lovely lady all around. condolences to her brothers and close ones. In sympathy, Richelle
Reading the comments posted here lets me know without surprise what a good friend Leigh was so many. Leigh was such a special person. She had a way of reaching out to everyone around her making them to feel accepted and comfortable. I was fortunate enough to have been friends with her for a long time. We kept in touch over the years seeing each other in Florida and up here in Georgia. I received a note from her a few months ago that I keep reading over and over. My husband said to me once that Leigh has a voice that he would recognize anywhere – I will miss hearing Leigh’s voice and her wonderful kindness and big heart!
Oh, my goodness. Had no idea she was ill or where she was or what she'd been doing. But I will always remember Leigh as one of the most attractive people I knew at Redan. And that doesn't mean I just thought she was hot. Everybody thought that, because she was. But she was also incredibly intelligent, both book and socially smart. She was fun and funny and kind to those of us who weren't necessarily in her tight circle. Later, I'd run into her at UGA and she'd only grown and matured in beauty and grace. Cancer sucks. Prayers for those who loved her and are left behind. I feel sure she's with our creator being cute, smart and kind.
Leigh was such a kind and BEAUTIFUL person, she and Angie Gehrel lived next door to each other down the Street from me. She was so smart, popular and had a sweet quiet way about her. She was nice to everyone and a lovely sense of humor. People just seemed to gravitate towards her. God Bless her and condolences to her Family.
Another one gone too soon from Cancer! So sorry to see that another classmate has passed. It's been wonderful reading the heartfelt comments from those who knew her best. Prayers to all those who are missing her and those who are dealing with health problems of their own. Memories from high school were some of the best!
