Jeff William Toole

 (BIRMINGHAM) The funeral service for Jeff Toole, also known as "The Tooleman,"
was at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 6, 2001, at Southside Baptist Church, Birmingham, with Dr.
Stephen Jones officiating.  Burial followed at Jefferson Memorial Gardens East in
Trussville.
   He died on Friday, Aug. 3, 2001.
   Mr. Toole is survived by his wife, Paula Toole of Birmingham; his parents, James W.
and Joann Toole of Lake Wedowee; and his grandmother, Mrs. Pearl Johnston of
Bowdon, Ga.
   Born Sept. 16, 1960, Mr. Toole was a local radio personality and actor, who served as a
traffic reporter for Metro Traffic in Birmingham, featured on many local Birmingham
stations.  He was known for his generosity, compassion and sense of humor.  A member
of Southside Baptist Church, Mr. Toole dedicated his time and energy to helping the
homeless and giving to youth programs.  Mr. Toole was an accomplished pianist and acted
in local commercials and theatre productions in the Birmingham area.
   Pallbearers were Curtis Slay, Scott Martin, Bruce Henry, Ronnie Bruce, Jeff Bell and
Matt Howerton.
   In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Birmingham Hospility Network, 1016
19th St. S., Birmingham, AL 35205; Southside Baptist Church Youth Fund, P.O. Box
55058, Birmingham, AL 35205; or the Birmingham Humane Society, 1713 Lomb Ave.,
Birmingham, AL 35208.
