Mark Alan Krehbiel (B. Sep. 6, 1961; D. Nov. 1, 1979) was the third child and only son born to Merle Dee Krehbiel and Joyce Lanier Krehbiel. He was born in St. Louis but moved with his family from St. Louis to Memphis, to Raleigh, and to Stone Mountain, Georgia, where he lost his life in an automobile accident at the age of 18 years. Mark had just graduated from Redan High School and was taking community college classes. He loved automobiles and owned a Chevy Nova that he worked on constantly. He loved rural life and looked forward to visits with his cousins in Kansas. He inherited a quiet demeanor from his mother with whom he had a special relationship. At the time of his death, he was survived by both parents, both grandmothers, and two sisters Gina (Koeppl) and Lori (Tennimon). He was originally buried in Stone Mountain, but his remains were relocated to the cemetery in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, so that he could rest by his parents who are now deceased. Mark and "what could have been" are terribly missed by his sisters and their families.
