
Jacqueline “Jackie” Bishop Unger, age 53, of Covington passed away July 15, 2015. She was born October 28, 1961 in Atlanta, Georgia to Vernon M. “Pete” and Arlene Pike Bishop. Jackie grew up in Redan, Georgia and attended the Redan First Baptist Church. She was a member of the first graduating class of Redan High School, graduating in 1979. Jackie attended college and worked as a medical assistant for a number of years before her career began with Madison Industries in Conyers. She later joined Unger Electric and worked as the General Manager. Jackie loved animals, traveling to the beach, listening to music and loved her family. She was preceded in death by her mother Arlene Bishop. Mrs. Unger is survived by her sons; Jeff Unger of Stone Mountain and Justin Unger of Tucker along with her grandson Owen Unger. She is also survived by her father Pete Bishop of Mansfield and her sister Robin Wingo of Snellville, along with numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and a host of friends.
Memorial services for Mrs. Unger will be held 2 o’clock, Sunday, July 26, 2015 at the Chapel of J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. J.C. Harwell and Son Funeral Home, 2157 East Street, SE, Covington, GA 30014 is in charge of the arrangements.
